How Long Have you been working as a Hair/Makeup Artist?I have been a makeup artist for 10 years, but really my whole life!
Why did you want to be working in your profession?
My main goal as a make-up artist is to not only finish my current project which is finishing a make-up line with one of my best friends, but to be a top make-up artist in the entertainment/fashion industry.
What do you love the most about working in your profession?
what I love the most is being able to work with color everyday! And the fact that I feel very lucky to do what I love every single day, unfortunately not too many people can say that.
What was your favorite job?
MY favorite job has been participating in NYC fashion week for the past 4 years in a row. I worked on such shows as Baby Phat, Bagdley Mishcka, Diesel and many more! I love the backstage chaos that goes on all around you! >
What advice do you have for anyone starting out working in this industry?
My advice is to someone starting out in this profession, is to humble yourself! Do not have entitlement issues! I have seen too many artists lose credibility and jobs based on horrible attitudes! Be pleasant to work with and above all HAVE FUN! We are the luckiest people in the world! We get paid to play with make-up! Life is good!
